Gabriel Ouellette

Gabriel (Ouellet[1] Wallet[2]) Ouellette was born October 04th 1801 of Gabriel Ouellette and Marie Morin in Deux Montagnes, Québec.[1] He married Catherine Laselle November 20th 1827 at Saint-Polycarpe[3], and fathered Louis Hugh (1828)[4][5], Della (c. 1830), Gabriel (1833)[6][5], Lucy (c. 1836), Agnus (c. 1837), Sepho (c. 1840), Sally (c. 1841), Lévi Ouellette[7] (c. 1842), May (c. 1845), Alexander (c. 1849), and Joseph (1851) Ouellette.[2] The OneWorldTree lists two other children not confirmed by records, Ellen<nocat> (1826) and Marie Edele (1836) Ouellette.[8]

He married at Saint-Polycarpe (1827)[3], where he also fathered Louis (1828)[4] and Gabriel (1833)[6]. The 1851 Census listed him as a labourer (along with his infant son), and living with his family at Lochiel, Ontario, in a one-family two-story stone house.[2] He was in Alexadria for Lévi marriage's in 1867.[7] The 1871 Census listed him as a carpenter, able to read and write, having no infirmities, and living in Roxborough with Catherine, Alexander, and Joseph.[9]
